Remote Senior Database Engineer (Contractor, Remote)

Requires minimum 5 years of experience managing PG databases. Must be able to work productively in a remote environment. International applicants (outside of the USA) are encouraged to apply. Strong troubleshooting skills are a must. Must be able to work and be available during USA business hours (9am to 6pm Eastern, with minor exceptions possible). Pay rate is dependent on your location and expertise.

Position is for 20 to 30 hours per week initially.

Requirements

Very strong knowledge of the following:

  • Logical Replication
  • Indexing and other performance related tasks
  • Backup and Restore
  • Linux and related OS environments (CentOS, Rocky Linux)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications in the English language is an absolute requirement

Advanced knowledge of:

  • Python
  • Monitoring tools
