Our client, a major chemical manufacturer, is looking for a Quality Lab Tech for their facility in Hiawatha, IA. 

 

This long-term contract assignment has an hourly rate of $29 hourly with a work schedule of Monday - Thursday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

 

Position: Functional Solutions Technical Support Specialist

Role Overview: In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong business relationships with specific customers of our client. Your primary objective will be to effectively communicate solutions related to the proper maintenance of equipment, repairs, and management of parts orders, including shipping. You will also make follow-up calls to assist customers through the maintenance and repair process, helping to minimize downtime. Additionally, you will be involved in the assembly of specific equipment and help manage inventory. This role reports directly to the Functional Solutions Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate effectively with customers and the Functional Solutions Manager.
  • Provide suggestions for continuous improvements in equipment and parts inventory management.
  • Assist in the development of training and troubleshooting guides for customers.
  • Serve as the primary resource for customers to resolve equipment and/or operator-related issues.
  • Follow up with customers after offering solutions to ensure equipment is fully operational.
  • Provide customers with updates when necessary, such as for winterization of equipment.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Motivate and challenge yourself to achieve high performance.
  • Promote and support a safety culture where all accidents are preventable.

Training Provided:

  • Hands-on training with the Functional Solutions Manager.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Interest in working with Pest Management Products and Innovations.
  • Strong interpersonal competencies to support competitive innovations in a positive, ethical manner with a strong customer focus.
  • High School Degree required; Associate Degree preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
