Job Summary
Responsible for leading teams and processes associated with the management of the organization's sales, marketing and/or product management operations. Activities include planning, developing, and delivering the marketing strategy for products/services and associated brand(s); evaluating, measuring, and managing the product/brand P&L (e.g., budgeting, expenditures, profitability, return-on-investment, etc.);ensuring product volume/profit targets are met.

The Product Content Specialist syndicates all product data, support documentation, product images, and additional attributes using the Admin database and other proprietary tools. S/he works closely with the merchandising team to prioritize new product adds and updates to existing products in order to optimize revenue.

Responsibilities:
Create, update, and maintain all product and related database content for new and existing products as well as, any new product maintenance initiatives.
Enter data by inputting alphanumeric information using an established procedure through a detailed interface that includes proprietary software and MS Excel Imports.
Audit and analyze vendor produced content to identify inconsistencies or errors while
formatting that data into the company database via individual or bulk uploads.
Write product descriptions using various vendor catalogs and other product-related
materials, including competitors’ websites.
Load product images of the correct size and format that pertain to an appropriate product in accordance with department standards.
Act as the first line of defense to proactively ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of content in our database and website, while drawing interest and educating potential customers about the products.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent.

Experience
One or more years’ experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
Online content skills; editing and proofing skills; grammar and punctuation.
Ability to fine-tune and streamline content provided by vendors.
Intermediate to Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel, especially formulas and functions to include VLOOKUP and Conditional Formatting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Team-focused with a strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks to perform in a
fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Content Development experience; preferably in merchandising.
Experience in eCommerce based businesses.
Knowledge of Food and Restaurant Industry
