Our firm is seeking a Senior Accountant who enjoys collaboration and wants an opportunity to expand their professional career in an experienced CPA firm environment with diverse clientele. If you are a driven and enthusiastic individual with 5 years minimum experience in financial accounting and reporting, joining Platinum Financial Services is a great opportunity for you. This is primarily an onsite position ideal for an accountant who needs a flexible work schedule. Candidates are required to have experience using QuickBooks Online.

 

This individual must be a proactive, self-starter that is able to maintain client accounts and meet deadlines. They will be responsible for providing accounting/bookkeeping services to their assigned clients and assisting other clients as needed. The selected candidate must be able to not only collaborate with other team members but work independently to ensure task completion. Accountability is a key quality we require along with being detail oriented, able to multi-task, strong work ethic, and a desire to grow professionally.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·         Performing accounting functions to include reconciliations, recording and adjusting journal entries, analyzing accounts, fixed assets, depreciation, and completing trial balance in order to prepare tax returns.

·         Managing 10 or more clients. This includes bookkeeping, budgeting, variance analysis, year-end preparation, projects, audit assistance, etc.

·         Setting up clients on QuickBooks Online. Creating chart of accounts, assigning rules, journal entries, etc.

·         Preparing and analyzing financial statements.

·         Quarterly/Yearly payroll tax filings and payments including 1096/1099/W2 forms.

·         Provide analytical support for various projects.

·         Assist management with completing audit analysis and write ups.

·         Research and resolve technical issues.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

·         Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 5 years' experience in accounting.

·         Experience in data analysis and financial reporting.

·         5+ years’ current experience in a corporate, private and/or public accounting firm.

·         3+ years’ experience using QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop. This includes setting up clients on QuickBooks Online/QuickBooks Desktop. Creating chart of accounts, assigning rules, journal entries, etc.

·         ​​​​Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines.

·         Payroll tax, sales tax, and income tax preparation experience. (preferred)

·         Strong computer and technical skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

·         Computerized tax preparations using ProSeries (preferred).

·         CPA license or certification a plus
