Position Summary

As a Customer Service Leader at our 24-hour Travel Plaza, you will oversee the front-line team to ensure an exceptional guest experience around the clock. You’ll manage daily operations, assist in training and coaching staff, and resolve customer inquiries with a friendly and proactive approach. This role is perfect for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding service.

 

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and support all shift leaders and team members, fostering a positive work environment.

- Monitor and manage employee schedules to align with operational budgets and staffing needs.

- Train, mentor, and develop store personnel to achieve optimal performance and meet company standards.

- Cultivate a culture of teamwork, pride, and exceptional customer service.

- Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and standards.

- Oversee cash handling, inventory control, and store security measures.

- Maintain store cleanliness and presentation.

- Complete all administrative tasks and documentation accurately and on time.

- Minimize store expenses by managing spoilage, breakage, and inventory control effectively.

- Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager with enthusiasm and attention to detail.

 

Qualifications

- At least 5 years of experience in a truck stop, travel plaza, convenience store, or retail environment preferred.

- A minimum of 3 years of management experience is preferred.

- High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred.

- Strong work ethic and communication skills.

- Excellent customer service and a people-oriented approach.

- Ability to adapt to change and maintain a flexible schedule.

- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on business growth.

 

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds when stocking and merchandising inventory.

- Capable of performing basic mathematical calculations.

- Must be able to stand for an entire 8-hour shift, and perform tasks that involve standing, stooping, and bending.
