Aardvark Communications is adding a public relations specialist with 3-5 years of experience. We’re looking for a self-starter who must be a strong writer with the expectation of crafting press releases, media pitches, blogs, social media copy, and newsletter stories daily.

The public relations specialist will:

  • Serve as the daily point of contact for multiple clients
  • Draft press releases, media pitches, blogs, web copy and award entries
  • Cultivate and pitch story ideas and content to media
  • Ensure all communications is cohesive with the client’s brand image
  • Lead internal and external meetings
  • Track and analyze media coverage
  • Oversee execution of PR plans
  • Measure impact of PR campaigns
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly client reports
  • Supply proactive updates to clients on account activity

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, communications, or business
  • Minimum of three years of PR and communications experience
  • Preferred experience working inside an agency with knowledge of how to lead client accounts
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Proficient in AP style
  • Maintains poise and confidence in all client and media interactions
  • Proficient in Microsoft products, Google Suite, Slack, Dropbox, Asana, and Harvest
  • Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends for client events (Agency has a fabulous PTO program)
