We are looking for a Water Meter Surveyor to conduct water meter surveys as part of our ongoing project in Port Arthur, TX. This role involves using our specialized software and equipment to perform accurate and efficient surveys of residential properties, ensuring that all necessary data is collected and documented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify Survey Locations:

    • Utilize our software to accurately identify residential properties requiring a water meter survey.

  • Conduct On-Site Surveys:

    • Drive to identified locations and use hydrovac equipment to pothole outside the meter box.

  • Vacuum Excavation:

    • Safely vacuum dirt to expose the meter box and surrounding materials, ensuring all work is conducted efficiently and safely.

  • Data Documentation:

    • Record and document materials used during the survey process using our software, ensuring all data is accurate and complete.

  • Equipment Maintenance:

    • Ensure the hydrovac and other tools are well-maintained and in good working condition, reporting any issues as necessary.

  • Safety Compliance:

    • Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License:

    • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.

  • Technical Proficiency:

    • Comfortable using software applications for data entry and record-keeping.

  • Physical Stamina:

    • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • Attention to Detail:

    • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate data collection and documentation.

  • Previous Experience:

    • Experience with hydrovac equipment or utility surveying is a plus but not required; training will be provided.

Compensation:

  • Hourly Wage: $25/hr
  • Performance Bonus: Potential earnings up to $40/hr based on productivity and performance.

Project Duration:

  • Location: Port Arthur, TX
  • Duration: 2 months with potential of 2 years
