Job Summary

US Water Services Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Utility Billing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our billing office, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing daily billing registers for anomalies, making corrections, and ensuring billing accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and assist with the daily review of all billing-related reports, including the daily billing register, Hi-L report, and delinquent collections.
  • Promote positive interaction with the public, answering billing questions and providing excellent customer service.
  • Motivate and train staff in all facets of billing procedures.
  • Support compliance with departmental KPI standards and meter reading and billing time frames.
  • Review and oversee key credit and adjustment requests, ensuring timely meter read uploads and downloads.
  • Oversee service order creation and completion, compiling reports on all phases of work performed.
  • Prepare and review utility bills prior to mailing, performing related work as assigned.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • Two years of progressively responsible accounting and customer service experience.
  • Intermediate skill in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Access and/or Excel.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify anomalies, and prepare clear and comprehensive statistical reports.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
