Job Description:

  • The Materials Procurement Coordinator II will support the strategic sourcing of Business Services, including professional and HR services, temporary labor, and consultancy.
  • This role includes assisting Sourcing Managers in the Indirect area with data gathering, engagement, and execution in Global, Americas, and Local projects (US, Canada). The role's responsibilities may extend to different countries and Indirects categories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent implementation of PPG procurement strategies and policies, collaborating with key stakeholders such as SBU local organizations, Operations Manager, Category Managers, Sourcing Leads, and Senior Sourcing Specialists.
  • Accurately implement agreed-upon conditions negotiated between the Procurement Sourcing Team and suppliers, including contracts, contract pricing, payment terms, supply chain finance, and rebates.
  • Support ad-hoc data gathering for project scoping, including suppliers, spend, and internal data.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and negotiate purchases (RFI, RFP, RFQ) delegated by the Category Management Group using effective strategic sourcing practices, for purchases with an annualized spend up to $350K.
  • Lead the onboarding of new suppliers and drive alternative supplier/product approvals.
  • Develop effective supply processes to achieve synergy in savings and coordinate order consolidation through preferred supplier listings.
  • Support the contract management process, including NDA preparation, contract setup, updates, and maintenance.
  • Ensure effective communication with the Procurement Sourcing Team regarding operations and data details.
  • Support supplier performance evaluation, including SLA, quality, product and service delivery against contract, and supplier cadence meetings with proper data preparation.
  • Perform additional tasks related to the position as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: BA degree in a related discipline
  • Experience:
  • 3+ years in a procurement role or similar purchasing experience, particularly within indirect purchasing or through close previous liaison with purchasing.
  • Business experience in human resources, consultancy, or business services.
  • Understanding of the dedicated spend area/business environment, e.g., HR or Business Services.
  • Previous assignments challenging technical specifications and spend needs.
  • Experience establishing/monitoring performance agreements, contracts, and resolving issues.

Skills:

  • Organizationally savvy with the ability to influence and balance priorities.
  • Structured and able to manage change projects through cross-functional teams.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to manage commercial relationships and negotiations.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, proactively seeks relationships.
