Tech Support Specialist

We are hiring a Tech Support Specialist in North Chelmsford, MA. We’re looking for a dynamic, self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills to handle day-to-day tasks professionally. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively manage deadlines and expectations and is excited about joining a leading developer of digital recording technology for government venues.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site visits throughout Massachusetts.
  • Configure Dell and HP servers and workstations to operate digital recording (audio/video) systems, including network and database components.
  • Perform Quality Assurance checks for system installations.
  • Install hardware and software at customer locations.
  • Document site and support issues.
  • Train both technical and non-technical end-users in system operations.
  • Provide high-level support to customers both in-house and onsite via phone and remote connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot customers' technical issues and escalate to the support team as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proficiency with the latest versions of Windows Server and MS SQL 2005/2008, including troubleshooting.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage projects from start to finish.
  • Attention to detail, strong follow-up skills, and sound judgment.
  • Networking knowledge, including TCP/IP and DNS.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Dell certified tech with A+ certification desired.
  • Some knowledge of audio/video signal flow is a plus.
  • Ability to travel frequently within Massachusetts, with occasional overnight stays.
  • Must pass intensive background checks through agencies such as the FBI, GSA, and Interpol.
  • Must be able to obtain a valid passport.
