Sales/Business Development Specialist

 

Eagan Building Group is currently hiring for a full-time Business Development Manager.  This is a newly created position designed to to identify and provide new business opportunities for commercial and industrial construction projects in the St. Louis Metropolitan area including St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Warren County, Franklin County, and Jefferson County.  This position is primarily remote, but will some in-office time as needed.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Business Development Manager should be an energetic individual to represent the company brand, core values and assist in implementing the business development strategies; while building a pipeline of profitable opportunities and strategic relationships for the assigned regions, or as otherwise directed.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Must possess a passion for meeting new people and fostering meaningful, long-term relationships.
  • Attend industry specific networking organizations, trade shows, and social events to identify potential business partnerships and clients.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Build trust with clients through regular contact ensuring all their needs are met throughout the sales process.
  • Attend customer meetings and participate in pre-construction process through contract signing.
  • Possess highly developed organizational & planning skills, time management skills, and written/oral communication skills.
  • Disciplined in utilizing customer resource management software to actively monitor and further sales cycles.
  • Be able to quickly develop a working knowledge of core services and industry specific practices.
  • Be accountable for working with external marketing agency to produce newsletters, direct mail postcards, blog posts, and other brand communications.
  • Must possess strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to network with appropriate individuals to create new business opportunities.
  • Experience in sales for construction materials, industrial equipment, or related industries a plus, but not required.
