SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Integrated Real Estate Development, Investment and Management Firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Team. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and supports multiple entities throughout the Firm.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in the daily accounting for various activities and transactions;
  • Supervise the accounts payable function for various companies adhering to company procedures;
  • Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting packages for owners, lenders, and investors, including balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis;
  • Prepare annual CAM/RET reconciliations for commercial tenants;
  • Collaborate with Chief Financial Officer on monthly cash flow forecasting;
  • Lead the preparation of yearly budgets and cost tracking throughout the fiscal year;
  • Coordinates and verifies all banking transactions are properly posted to the accounting system;
  • Work directly with Property Managers and Staff to ensure proper cost reporting;
  • Provide external tax consultant accurate books and records annually for federal and state filings;
  • Assist with special projects, as needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting;
  • 3+ years’ experience, CPA preferred;
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting;
  • Excellent written and communication skills;
  • Strong analytical ability;
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and be able to work within a team;
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including solid skills with Excel, Word, Outlook, and PDF writer;
  • Knowledge of AppFolio accounting software a plus.
