Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be developing, promoting and managing sales within a specific territory in accordance with company objectives and strategies.
This position will develop the relationships needed to support, maintain and increase business. Together we will create and execute a sales and marketing plan to achieve customer satisfaction and continued revenue generation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop annual plan with management, detailing activities to follow during the fiscal year, which will focus on expanding client base in the marketing area as well as supporting the existing clients.
2. Develop and maintain a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face community awareness, email, and networking with business owners and decision makers.
3. Sell consultatively, ask questions and make recommendations to prospects and clients.
4. Identify sales prospects and contact them to set up appointments on a timely basis.
5. Prepare presentations, estimates and sales contracts. Establish and maintain estimate follow-up procedures.
6. Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from telephone, marketing and field activity within 48 hours.
7. Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within the assigned territory and those generated from the provided client list.
8. Develop a complete understanding of pricing, products & services we offer.
9. Complete all paperwork and follow established procedures from initiation through completion of a project (work order, pre-payment collection, art work approval) .
10. Work with management and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction and revenue generation, in line with company vision and values.
11. Review status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals for monthly sales meetings.
12. Identify and resolve customer satisfaction issues within 48 hours.
13. Establish and maintain effective team relationships with all support departments.
14. Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in networking and marketing events such as seminars, referral groups & trade shows.
- Work may require early morning or evening events.
- Coordinate various tasks & scheduling activities to ensure quality project management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales is required and applicants should have the skill-set to successfully obtain new accounts, manage existing accounts and build strong relationships.
