We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team, specializing in the design and development of industrial parts and equipment using SolidWorks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with extensive experience in designing complex mechanical systems and components for industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of industrial parts and equipment using SolidWorks. Develop innovative and efficient design solutions to meet project specifications and industry standards.

  • Product Design: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, manufacturing engineers, and quality assurance, to develop new products and improve existing designs. Ensure that designs are optimized for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and performance.

  • Prototyping: Lead the prototyping process, including selecting materials, creating prototypes, and conducting tests to validate designs. Work with vendors and internal teams to ensure prototypes meet design and functional requirements.

  • Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, assembly instructions, and bill of materials (BOM). Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve design-related issues during the development and manufacturing phases. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address any design flaws or production challenges.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure seamless transition from design to production. Provide technical support during the manufacturing process and assist with troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. Continuously seek opportunities to improve design processes, tools, and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a focus on industrial parts and equipment.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, including 3D modeling, assembly, and simulation.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
