Job DescriptionJob Description

 

The contractor shall provide Scientific / Portfolio Management Support Services to include, but not limited to the following tasks:

1.  Contractor shall draw upon robust training and expertise in trauma-related biomedical science to advise the Director and Portfolio managers with respect to the most up to date state of the science to guide programmatic decisions.

2.  Contractor shall assist designated Portfolio Managers to plan and conduct portfolio analyses to identify knowledge gaps and establish research priorities for CCCRP.

3.  Contractor shall serve as CCCRP program liaison with contracting personnel in resolving contracting issues, obtaining status of actions, and responding to requests for information for DHP-funded proposals.

4.  Contractor shall maintain historical records to include records of transactions, pre-proposals, full proposals, acceptance and turn down notifications and other documentation relevant to efficient management of intramural and extramural projects.

5.  Contractor shall, in close coordination with execution management activity staff, review, coordinate and report on tracking and disbursement of research funds.

6.  Contractor shall develop and maintain electronic master files to track the progress of assigned research projects including minutes, briefings, spreadsheets, and databases.

7.  Contractor shall attend meetings and coordinate activities with DoD, other Federal agencies, academic, and industry labs.

8.  Contractor shall prepare information papers, special studies, reviews and analyses in response to external taskings.

9.  Contractor shall communicate with intramural and extramural principal investigators in regard to policies, procedures, and programmatic issues.

10.  Contractor shall review and analyze biomedical trauma-related proposals and recommend programmatic decisions based on sound scientific and programmatic rationale.

11.  Contractor shall assist in development, review and revision of strategic plans for trauma-related combat casualty research for future planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) business processes.

12. Contractor shall develop, present, and provide program/progress briefings.

 

13  Special Qualifications:  Clearance required:  Secret.

 

1 Requires research experience in en route care; autonomous, semi-autonomous and remotely operated medical diagnostic and treatment technologies; artificial intelligence/machine learning; virtual health technologies, medical simulation and training technologies, and medical information science. 

2 Requires experience managing research programs in a DoD medical research environment.
