**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Property Management Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage the financial activities related to our property portfolio, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. This role requires a high degree of professionalism, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for maintaining the financial health of our properties.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Financial Reporting and Analysis:**
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for assigned properties.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and ensure timely reporting.

2. **Accounts Payable and Receivable:**
- Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, tenant billing, and rent collection.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.

3. **Budgeting and Forecasting:**
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for the properties.
- Monitor variances and work with property managers to ensure budget adherence.

4. **Lease Administration:**
- Review and interpret lease agreements to ensure proper financial treatment.

5. **Compliance and Audit:**
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
- Prepare documentation and support external audits as required.

6. **Collaboration and Communication:**
- Work closely with property managers, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support operational decisions.
- Maintain open and effective communication with tenants regarding financial matters.

**Qualifications:**

- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1.5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in property management or real estate.
- Strong proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, Entrata) and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
