Summary/Objective: As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and securing new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the company. Your primary focus will be on expanding our presence in the civil construction market, identifying potential clients, and developing strategic partnerships.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the civil construction sector, including infrastructure projects, commercial developments, and government contracts.
  • Research and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and potential clients to develop a targeted business development strategy.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential projects and clients through proactive prospecting and networking.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Understand client needs and requirements and work closely with the internal team to develop tailored solutions and proposals.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Sales and Proposal Management:

  • Lead the development of compelling proposals, presentations, and tender responses to secure new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including estimators, project managers, and engineers, to develop accurate pricing and project plans.

Market Intelligence and Strategy:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and emerging opportunities within the civil construction market.
  • Provide regular reports and analyses on sales performance, market conditions, and competitive positioning to inform strategic decision-making.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the senior management team to develop and execute sales strategies, marketing initiatives, and business development plans.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, and finance, to ensure alignment and support for business development efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, or a related field. A master's degree in business administration or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven track record of successful business development and sales within the civil construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of civil construction processes, project management, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant business tools.
