Account Executive Job Responsibilities:

TPG Trade Show + Event Marketing is looking for a highly motivated & self-driven Account Executive to join our sales team remotely. This is an exciting opportunity to develop innovative strategies to achieve sales goals, as well as make meaningful connections with our customers.

The role of the Account Executive will build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, nurturing and closing business relationships.

The Account Executive will work remotely and be responsible for fully understanding clients’ needs and determining the correct programs and strategies for meeting those needs. They will oversee an onsite team to ensure services are delivered on time, on budget, and up to clients’ standards.

This role will report to the Director of Business Development.

Account Executive Job Duties:

  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.

  • Abides by internal processes and templates to generate and manage new business and develops new processes as necessary

  • Aids in development of marketing and sales material to help establish a sought-after brand

  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners, discovering and exploring opportunities.

  • Approaches prospects at trade shows and events

  • Inputs and updates leads in CRM and keeps accurate notes and records of each communication with prospects

  • Executes a follow-up strategy with each prospect in an effort to procure new business

  • Engages in networking opportunities – in-person and digitally/social media

  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities.

  • Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements, tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.

  • Communicating with clients and gathering information about a project’s scope, budgets and timelines.

  • Meeting with other executives to discuss clients’ project goals, progress and outcomes.

  • Working with the project manager to put together proposals, bids and approving budgets and timelines for clients.

  • Coordinating and managing teams to meet project milestones.

  • Assembling new teams to meet clients’ or businesses’ goals.

  • Monitors and evaluates competition.

  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

SKILLS:

  • Self-starter – motivation to acquire new business without much oversight.

  • Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 / Sharepoint proficient – Knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Word required.

  • Familiar with CRMs.

  • Ability to budget and forecast potential deals.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-moving environment.

  • Energetic, positive, creative, kind, and outgoing.

  • Ability to work well in a team.
