Job DescriptionJob Description

The customer service representative is the first line of communication with our customers. They will handle all customer service inquiries, orders and problems via telephone, fax or e-mail and act as a liaison to the appropriate company personnel. They will be responsible for customer order processing and shipment billing. Communication with customers regarding orders will be necessary to ensure the correct processing of orders. General research duties as assigned by the sales department as well as quote preparation would also be expected.

Duties:

  • Answer incoming phone calls
  • Handle customer inquiries, orders (via phone, fax or email) and complaints
  • Document and update customer records based on interactions
  • Research customer order history and communicate with appropriate sales staff
  • Process & Invoice outgoing stock customer orders
  • Arrange daily LTL (less than truckload) truck shipments (via phone or web based)
  • Review and verify outgoing AR invoices for accuracy prior to distribution
  • General Office Duties including Filing
  • Research prices, information and availability on vendor products to aid sales department with quotes.
  • Quote preparation for sales department
  • Assist with other projects and duties as assigned by the Office Manager or Sales Department

Qualifications:

Education: Minimum of high school diploma

Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in Customer Service, administrative or data entry in a manufacturing environment or related fields.

Special Skills: Proficient use in a Windows environment including use with the Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams).

Excellent organizational and communication skills, both via phone or e-mail.

Ability to collaborate and communicate closely and effectively with office staff.

Ability to learn or take interest in product line(s) a plus.

Ability to Multi-Task.

Attention to details and accuracy.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Positive and professional demeanor

 

The customer service Representative/Support reports to the Office Manager.

 

Salary: Full-Time, 40 hours (M-F) 8am-4:30pm

Starting Date: As soon as possible
