Job Title: Maintenance and Repair Technician

Location: Kentwood, MI 49512

Duration:  Contract to Hire

Note:

  • 2nd & 3rd Shift

 Job Description:

  • This is an hourly position that does not involve direct management of people.
  • In this role, you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Maintain optimal utilization of plant equipment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • PLC troubleshooting, understanding electrical prints and schematics to facilitate repairs of equipment.
  • Read, follow and understand electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings, blueprints, schematics, service manuals and manufacturer's specifications.
  • Help maintain spare part inventory accuracy.

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in machine repair of hydraulic trim presses, vacuum forming, robotic trim, extrusion equipment, air compressors, chillers and assembly equipment
  • Minimum 5 years of experience and related course work or Journeyman Machine Repair
  • Standard knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to use email functions on the computer.
  • Standard knowledge of tools including, welding, mills, lathes, cutting equipment, metal shear and brake, measuring and drill tools.
  • Ability to obtain Hi-Lo Certification
