Job Summary:

Maverik is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician 1 to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete tasks.
  • Perform electrical, plumbing, and other trade functions as required.
  • Paint and repair building structures, including roofs, windows, and doors.
  • Review gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Maintain and repair specialized equipment and machinery found in food service.
  • Perform general cleaning of buildings and properties.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and pass a driving record check.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • 1+ years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Experience with ticketing management systems such as ServiceNow or Cherwell is preferred.

Competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and balance competing needs.
  • History of taking initiative to identify and solve work-related problems.
  • Experience in exercising initiative and sound judgment in decision-making.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to perform repetitive physical behaviors such as standing, walking, handling, reaching, and grasping.
  • Must be able to perform frequent physical behaviors such as reaching above the shoulder, reaching below the waist, pushing buttons, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work safely with equipment that can create and hold high temperatures using personal protective equipment.
  • Must be able to work in environments with fluctuating temperatures.
