We are looking for a Part-Time Accounting Specialist to be a part of our team. This job is ideal for someone who is looking for flexible, part-time hours that loves numbers, making other peoples’ lives easier, and wants to take the first steps toward building a lasting impact in an accounting team. Our company continues to grow in both size and revenue and we need support in processing ACH payments, applying invoices, and assisting the Accounting Department with any miscellaneous tasks.

We provide a friendly and collaborative work environment where you will be surrounded by a staff that is dedicated to excellence. We aim to find the most reliable, dependable professionals who consistently perform at a high level.

Part-Time Accounting Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Accounting Department with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions from invoice receipt to payment
  • Submit invoices to customers and follow up on missed payments
  • Deposit checks, enter deposits, ACH, credit card payments and wire transfers into company software
  • Enter and match purchase orders to vendor invoices
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payment for vendors
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Assist with daily and monthly duties related to cash balance and month end closings
  • Perform data entry and any additional duties as assigned

Part-Time Accounting Specialist Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of AR/AP experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks preferred, not required
  • Must be deadline and detail oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
