Job Summary:
The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for managing patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of healthcare provider's time, and maintaining optimal patient flow throughout the clinic. The role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments and home needs with care provider referrals
- Maintain up-to-date records of client records in our software
- Communicate client schedule details with care providers
- Verify patient information and update accordingly.
- Ensure smooth client care with detailed communication
- Answer phone calls and assist patients with inquiries
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other staff to optimize the daily schedules.
- Monitor and manage appointment reminders and follow-ups.
- Handle emergency scheduling conflicts and make necessary adjustments promptly.
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Additional healthcare-related certifications are a plus.
- Previous experience in a scheduling or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in using scheduling software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and handle fast-paced environments effectively.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with standard office hours; some flexibility required based on scheduling needs.
