Ironwood Commercial Builders, Inc. is a general contractor that is a Woman-Owned Small Business. We have openings for exceptional individuals who are seeking to fill the roles of Superintendent, Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO), and Contractor Quality Control Managers (CQM) on federal general construction projects. We execute a wide range of projects that include tenant improvements, new building construction and civil construction. We are a small company searching for leaders who will work as a team.

We are searching for those who can meet the following qualifications and minimum experience:

Required Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Federal construction experience highly desired.
  • Must have strong knowledge of building processes and blueprint reading.
  • Must have a minimum five (5) years of experience in a similar role.
  • Must have complete working knowledge of scheduling, daily reports, safety meetings and inspections, quality control meetings and inspections, submittals, RFIs and change order processes.
  • Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe/Bluebeam.
  • Must have experience working with tradesmen and sub-contractors from every trade.
  • Must be a team player, willing to assist others as needed.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Non-confrontational, willingness to embrace teaming approach to project delivery.
  • Must be capable of passing security background screening.
  • 30Hr OSHA certification is required.
  • Must maintain a strong sense of professionalism with customer and team members.
  • Must be willing to mentor/train less experienced team members.
  • Must use company equipment and resources wisely.

Must Pass E-Verify

Must Pass Background Check & Drug Testing (project specific basis)

Beneficial Experience & Qualifications:

  • Trade experience such as Carpentry, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil.
  • Willingness to travel is desirable.
  • STRONG Working and Enforcement knowledge of EM 385-1-1 Safety Manual.
  • Current CQM Certificate.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Projects and Construction Management platforms.
  • 40Hr EM 385-1-1 certification is desirable.
  • Other Certifications: Scaffolding, confined space, competent person training, etc. is desirable.
  • Existing Subcontractor relationships
  • SITES/LEED Experience
  • Existing Customer Relationships
