Job Title: Accounts Payable

 

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

 

General Purpose:
Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.

 

Duties:

  • Receive and review invoices from vendors.
  • Match documents.
  • Code and batch invoices.
  • Assemble voucher packages for approval by appropriate managers.
  • Process checks to send to vendors.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
  • Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records as needed.
  • Handle incoming calls from vendors regarding payments.
  • Create and maintain all vendor files.
  • Perform other basic clerical duties associated with accounts payable.
  • Process and submit all DOT documentation (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
  • Handle all trip permits.
  • Create and maintain all CDL files.
  • Create and maintain all vehicle files.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls appropriately.
  • Perform other clerical duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:

  • Knowledge of accounts payable.
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting software.
  • Proficient in data entry and management.
  • 1-3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
