Subsidiary of a Global Tier-1 manufacturer of CNC machines These are utilized in crafting precision gears for automotive engines, as well as in electrified powertrain and transmission plants that serve the OEM automotive market: Ford, Chrysler, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and BMW.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 10% to 25% travel to plants in Mexico, Canada, and Germany.
  • Managing a team of Field Service Engineers & Technicians.
  • Installations, set-ups, qualifications, and customer acceptance, customer-facing.
  • Experience in manufacturing automotive automation industry preferred.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills in electrical, PLC, or CNC systems.
  • Experience with Siemens Step7 or Siemens 840D Controls.
  • Proven track record of electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
  • *German language skills (Preferred)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Knowledge of high precision & high production CNC machine tools
  • such as lathes, hobbing machines, gear grinding machines, re-tooling,
  • Troubleshooting and correcting process issues such as holding critical dimensions,
  • surface finish, cycle time, etc.
  • Training customer operators & maintenance personnel.
  • Manage Technicians to do new machine installations, set-ups, qualification, and
  • customer acceptance.
  • Assists in solving technical problems specific to electrical and mechanical machine
  • installations and service calls at customer locations.
  • Analyzes project scope, budgets, schedules,
  • Support department and project managers with technical knowledge.
