Job Overview

Actus Consulting Group is seeking skilled Field Service Technicians to support our clients in the machinery sector.


Position Summary:

The Field Service Technician will report directly to the Regional Service Manager and will be tasked with traveling to various client and dealer locations to install and maintain machinery.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and Maintenance (60%): Conduct installations, provide maintenance, and deliver basic training on all machinery. Troubleshoot both electronic and mechanical issues on-site using appropriate testing tools such as multimeters or oscilloscopes. Travel to client and dealer sites as required.
  • Customer Interaction (30%): Gather and address customer complaints regarding equipment performance and service challenges. Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding technical assessments and resolutions.
  • Documentation (10%): Maintain accurate records of all service activities in a clear and technically sound manner. Prepare and submit service and expense reports for reimbursement. Utilize various office equipment and software, including Microsoft Office, as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Electronics or equivalent experience is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems, materials, tooling, and end mills is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and utilize testing equipment such as multimeters or oscilloscopes is essential.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a commitment to integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently, while effectively managing stressful situations related to equipment issues.
  • Possess a technical mindset with the ability to diagnose and resolve production challenges.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on completing tasks efficiently in a manufacturing context.

Compensation:

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience, starting at $50K.
