Job Summary

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery for a leading manufacturing company. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team and utilize your technical skills to ensure the smooth operation of our client's equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve equipment issues
  • Work closely with clients to understand their equipment needs and provide exceptional customer service
  • Travel extensively throughout the week, with occasional overnight stays, to service assigned territories

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience working as a mechanic or performing mechanical work on heavy machinery
  • Excellent client/customer service skills, with the ability to work directly with external clients
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems
  • Electrical background with heavy machinery
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools used in heavy machinery
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to travel within their state and to surrounding states, with approximately 35% of the role requiring travel
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record and BGC

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with a volt meter
