Position Overview Tricon Energy is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to enhance and protect our information systems and network infrastructure in a global, multi-site environment. Strong analytical, planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. Excellent communication skills, issue management, and team-oriented support are critical. This position reports to the Director of Infrastructure & Security.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide cybersecurity support and expertise to ensure the protection of Tricon’s IT infrastructure and network
  • Implement and manage security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and data
  • Monitor security access and maintain the network infrastructure, identifying and responding to potential threats
  • Monitor system patching processes ensuring all endpoints are up to date
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures
  • Conduct risk analysis and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of disaster recovery plans
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions
  • Manage cybersecurity training and awareness programs for employees
  • Coordinate with IT teams to ensure endpoint security compliance
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents, providing remediation, documentation and analysis
  • Collaborate with external security partners and vendors as needed
  • Participate in security audits and assessments

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Strong documentation skills are required
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems up to Windows 11
  • Proficiency in Office 365 user management is required
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, including Microsoft Entra
  • Strong understanding of network security, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs
  • Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience/certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+)
  • Bilingual is preferred
  • 4-5 years of experience in cybersecurity roles
  • Proficient in network troubleshooting tools and techniques
  • Experience managing endpoints with Microsoft Intune is preferred
  • Global, multi-site experience with remote support and SD-WAN is preferred
  • Experience with security incident and event management (SIEM) systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems; participate in professional development activities as appropriate.
