In this crucial position, you will work in close collaboration with our Security Operations Center (SOC) partner to oversee and confirm that service level agreements (SLAs) are fulfilled, ensuring robust protection of our IT environment.

Your insightful evaluation of our existing security framework will lead to actionable recommendations that bolster our adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

You will be key in monitoring and assessing security incidents, and your proactive stance will facilitate the prompt escalation of security issues to avert potential risks.


As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will also be instrumental in fostering a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.

You will conduct training sessions for staff, assist in the formulation and enhancement of information security policies, and engage in vulnerability assessments and security testing to identify and mitigate risks that could affect our operations.

Key Responsibilities:


Collaborate with our Security Operations Center (SOC) partner to ensure monitoring SLAs are met and that our IT environment is secure.

Evaluate current security measures and propose enhancements to comply with industry standards.

Work alongside IT teams to guarantee adherence to industry regulations and standards.

Monitor and evaluate security incidents and assist in the escalation of security events.

Support the handling of service requests and incidents through the ticketing system.

Conduct security awareness training for employees to cultivate a security-focused culture within the organization.

Contribute to the development and refinement of information security policies, procedures, and documentation.

Assess data handling processes and respond to alerts generated from data loss prevention systems and other tools.

Participate in vulnerability assessments and security testing to uncover weaknesses and potential risks in our systems.

Manage Firewall and IPS/IDS configurations and tuning.

Stay informed about the latest security trends, threats, and mitigation strategies.

Perform and oversee daily and recurring security operations tasks.

Execute other assigned duties as necessary.

Knowledge and Skills:
Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure) is advantageous.

Understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS controls.

Ability to manage network and host-based tools for penetration testing and ethical hacking.

Knowledge of host compromise and malware injection techniques.

Experience and Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

7-10 years of experience in IT security within a corporate setting.


Experience managing and configuring Microsoft security tools such as Azure Security Center, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and Microsoft Cloud App Security.

Recent experience with data loss prevention technologies (MS Defender, MS Purview).

Certifications such as

Microsoft Certified:
Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals or

Microsoft Certified:
Security Operations Analyst Associate are highly preferred.

Experience with multi-factor authentication, firewalls, SIEM, EDR/MDR, and email security vulnerability scanning.

Preferred industry-standard certifications such as Security+ or Certified in Cybersecurity.

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification is preferred, or willingness to obtain within six months of employment.
