UNYSE Environmental Consultants is currently looking for reliable career-oriented candidates to fill positions in our site based environmental evaluation and monitoring division. You will have the opportunity to conduct air, building materials, soil & water quality surveys, operate field equipment for measurements, collect asbestos, lead, mold and hazardous materials samples, and monitor remediation projects. Background in construction, especially property renovations in pre-1978 housing a plus. This is an entry level role, new grads are welcome to apply.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct environmental hazard investigations and project management.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with property owners, building managers, agency representatives, and community organizations.
  • Conduct field surveys and air, soil or other environmental matrix sampling.
  • Operate basic field equipment for measurements.
  • Collection of samples and data gathering
  • Preparation of remediation work plans
  • Remediation worksite monitoring and quality assurance inspections
  • Prepare daily records and project closeout reports.
  • Participate in weekly and other team meetings as appropriate.
  • Support broad mission and policy efforts and initiatives.
  • Other duties assigned related to organizational mission and programs.

Education and Experience

  • Demonstrated interest in environmental health.
  • Experience in environmental services, construction, property renovation and/or home improvement is a plus.
  • 2 year College degree
  • Holder of current Lead or Asbestos certification desired but not required, willingness to obtain certifications.
  • 75% of repetitive standing, lifting, bending, stretching, walking & traveling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Professional, positive work ethic and desire to make a difference.
  • Must have a valid driver license and own vehicle for transportation.
