Job Title: Environmental Planner - Visual Resources

At Stantec, we're dedicated to creating a better world through sustainable design and engineering solutions. As an Environmental Planner - Visual Resources, you'll play a key role in supporting our growing visual impact assessment and visualization services in the eastern United States.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Work under the direction of our Visual Resources Practice Lead to produce high-quality visual impact assessments (VIA) for clients in the power generation, electrical transmission, and energy storage sectors.
  • Collaborate with a technically diverse team to coordinate contributions and ensure timely project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Travel up to 20% annually for project site visits and other business-related activities.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience producing or supporting the completion of VIAs.
  • Strong research, analysis, and reporting skills, with excellent writing and communication abilities.
  • Ability to support multiple projects and manage competing priorities.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to perform fieldwork and lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience producing VIAs required by federal and state environmental review criteria.
  • Familiarity with federal and regional agencies' methods for assessing visual effects or impacts to scenery.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Autodesk 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Cloud, and DSLR cameras.
