The LGHT Group is a women led, minoritiy led organization that provides fundraising servies to nonprofits and startups located in the Greater Houston area. We take pride in helping leaders overcome obstacles to funding. We have successfully raised over $30M over the last decade through grants, brand sponsorships and events. We are seeking an Event Coordinator to join our team 

This contract is a 6 month contract with the option to extend or go into other areas of fundraising such grant writing and consulting. You will be responsible for coordination of a large formal event in the fall of 2024.

We are looking for someone with event planning experience that is creative and resourceful. 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all event activities 
  • Hold committee meetings
  • Send committee updates and communications
  • Send evnet communications to guests
  • Oversee development of registration pages and all necessary materials
  • Manage table seating
  • Week of and Day of event coordination 
  • Budget management
  • Vendor management
  • Decor design
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in event planning or other related fields
  • Strong project managing skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work well in teams
