Certification/Quality Administrator (3 months)

The Certification/Quality Administrator will be responsible for processing all incoming material certifications for Steel and Hardware.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Process all incoming material certifications for Steel and Hardware.
  • Verify that ALL material meet our Buy American and specification requirements.
  • Save all certified material to our shared drive and create folder for the hard copies.
  • Interact with the commodity managers, buyers and vendors to resolve/prevent certification discrepancies.
  • Assists in entering “M” side receipts and print report to be reviewed
  • Enter Plant to Processor shipment receipts and print report to be reviewed.
  • Assist in entering 123 direct shipments as needed, save to certification folder and upload to the Portal.
  • Works with other departments to provide any needed certification information.
  • Monitor and complete any request from the outbound shipment mailbox.
  • Generate and distribute the Certified Analysis (COA) and certs packets within Trace.
  • Assist with State required forms for our customer as needed.
  • Attend any required training.
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

· Strong organizational skills.

· High School diploma or equivalent.

· College degree preferred

· A minimum of 2 Years’ Experience in administrative or related role is required

· Strong attention to detail.

· Expert time management, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.

· Ability to work under tight deadlines.

· Must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills; ability to work with others efficiently and effectively.

· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Experience with Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

· Good time management skills (i.e. multitasking with efficiency) with minimal supervision.

PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Excellent verbal communication and phone skills required. Must possess excellent customer service skills, strong work ethic, be highly organized, and have good oral and written communication skills. Ability to display confidence when handling difficult customers and/or objections.

Ability to maintain effective working relationships with customers, state specifying agencies, and company personnel required.

Good hearing capability for extensive phone usage; good finger dexterity, near vision capabilities; ability to perform basic math calculations; must possess a friendly, customer service attitude at all times.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The position will onsite in our HQ location in Addison, TX.
