MMC Group is hiring for an Outreach Specialist for our client in Austin, TX

 

Contract: 3+ months, high likelihood of extension or conversion
Start: ASAP
Shift: M-F 8AM-5PM
Pay: $24-27/hr

 

Our client is a non-profit workforce solutions company, assisting businesses with connecting with candidates, and candidates with preparing for and obtaining work.

 

Outreach and recruitment strategies are critical to be able to identify people for in-demand training and to match and place job seekers into available jobs. Additionally, more employers are searching for hands on experience for their workforce and earn & learn opportunities will help to better prepare individuals for these careers.

This person will conduct outreach within the community to “build the top of the funnel.” The responsibilities of this position are to increase WIT enrollments and identify individuals for program enrollment for training and/or supports to assist with job search and employment. This position should be active in the community developing relationships and recruiting job seekers.

  • Reaching out to training providers to register individuals completing training into WIT for job search assistance and placement or to offer support services to those that are eligible and are enrolled in training.
  • Reaching out to community-based organizations to identify individuals that might be interested in training opportunities and/or fund supports for those already in training.
  • Attending local events where job seekers can be recruited for WIT and/or program enrollment.
  • Contractor shall submit a one-time narrative detailing strategies for outreach to community based organizations and training providers due with the first monthly report.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience with community outreach and engagement
  • Experience with in-person and phone communications to share information with people
  • High School Diploma
  • Bilingual with Spanish
