  • Educates the staff on the financial realities of running a successful business, while managing sales, promos, discounts, refunds, etc.
  • Provides feedback and strategies to the Owners on building a more profitable operation

Sales Culture and Promotions:

  • Hires, trains and retains the highest quality team members who exhibit energy and enthusiasm
  • Coaches to Company's Mission/Vision with the passion to drive real action
  • Ensures all associates maximize available custom merchandise, marketing initiatives, store promotions, and software/technology provided
  • Present opportunities marketing and community focused events that build sales and support our communities to the President
  • Uses the Company metrics to coach the proper behaviors needed to be a best in class selling organization
  • Create an environment where the store team is empowered to deliver excellent customer service aligned with company processes and standards, so they are encouraged to achieve company goals

People Development:

  • Hiring and developing talent, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent
  • Manage a detailed succession plan to ensure there is never a vacancy in any key position
  • Utilizes company resources to keep associates up to date on product knowledge, selling skills and operational efficiencies
  • Works closely with the President to stay current with all HR training and legal requirements
  • Leads all store activities with the highest ethical standards and requires the same from their team
  • Ensures associates are provided the necessary tools to perform job responsibilities
  • Improve all store associate's self-knowledge, effectiveness, and efficiency through weekly meetings with the emphasis on customer satisfaction
  • Coach and counsel team based on goals and results

Store Standards/Operations:

  • Follows the Company programs to keep a clean, well merchandised store
  • Works with the Owners and team on merchandising to execute all changes accordingly, seasonal demand and clearance items
  • Executes all tagging and sign programs 100% to the company standards
  • Ensure all associates accurately complete required paperwork, including order entry, delivery schedules, customer records, and deposits/payments
  • Submit required paperwork to President in a timely manner regarding employee changes, new hires, evaluations, etc.

Customer Experience Excellence:

  • Sets the highest standard for customer experience
  • Regularly checking in and welcomes guests into store
  • Lead by example with company's initiatives and focusing on customer retention
  • Is innovative in finding ways to delight their guests
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related study preferred; OR equivalent experience REQUIRED
  • Minimum of Five (5) years of experience managing a business unit, retail preferred
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • A coachable and self-directed learner who is always willing to learn
  • Comfortable with Social Media and SEO/SEM
  • Thorough understanding of profit and loss, forecasting, financial planning, risk management, market research, operational efficiency, employee engagement, merchandising, and customer satisfaction
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven track record in building effective and productive working relationships/networking
  • Goal oriented – Energetically focuses efforts on meeting goals, mission or objective
  • Proven history of managing a team, improving team’s performance and productivity
  • Ability to work a schedule and hours dictated by business needs, which includes weekends and holidays
  • Attention to detail with strong follow-up and follow-through
  • Excellent business acumen
  • Effective problem solver
