Construction Estimator - Industrial Equipment Design and Fabrication - Base Salary to 110k/year - Burbank, WA

  • Our client is an industrial equipment design, fabrication, installation and maintenance company headquartered in eastern Washington state is in need of a Construction Estimator to join their growing team. They have been in business over 33 years and mainly service the food and beverage industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparing project cost and time estimates, preparing bids and proposals, conducting material and labor cost analysis, and collaborating with project managers and clients (quantity take-off).
  • Providing review, estimation, and direction for structural steel fabrication and erection projects
  • Work with outside vendors and suppliers for project specific pricing and milestone management.
  • Coordinate with operations to ensure all shop and field activities are completed on time.
  • Coordinate with customers to ensure we are providing a complete package with a thorough understanding of the project schedule and requirements.
  • Review, understand, and communicate all safety requirements associated with the project.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with company vendors, clients, and contractors.

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection practices including knowledge of structural shapes and general industry terminology.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents including design drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical and legal documents.
  • Understanding of AR activities including purchase orders and invoicing
