Job Description:

As a Senior Project Manager at Mullins, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance and profitability of construction projects. Your role will encompass managing all project aspects, from budgeting and scheduling to contract negotiation and execution. You will also supervise Project Managers (PMs) and Assistant Project Managers (APMs) assigned to your projects and provide assistance and guidance as needed. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance and guidance to PMs and APMs in managing their projects. 
  • Successfully manage complex projects with minimal executive oversight. 
  • Act as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Approve and communicate project changes, ensuring quality, cost control, client satisfaction, and schedule adherence. 
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and manage project resources. 
  • Procure subcontractors, materials, equipment, and manpower to effectively manage project scope, quality, schedule, and cost. 
  • Finalize detailed schedules of values (SOVs) for project billings and submit for approval. 
  • Prepare construction budgets, cost code accuracy verification, and budget projection from estimates. 
  • Actively manage project schedules in collaboration with field supervisors. 
  • Manage subcontractors and execute subcontracts.
  • Collaboratively manage changes in project scope, pricing, and communicate Mullins' position to clients. 
  • Maintain ethical conduct and act in the best interest of Mullins while developing long-term client relationships.
  • update job costs for ongoing projects as per the financial calendar. 
  • Prepare and submit monthly project reports to the executive management. 
  • Oversee project billing and invoicing, resolving cost discrepancies.
  • Prepare and distribute Requests for Information (RFIs) and manage responses. 
  • Collect and organize submittals and product samples.
  • Prepare productivity tracking logs and daily updates. 
  • Create and distribute Notices of Delay and record project delays. 
  • Collaborate with team members, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve schedule impacts.
  • Manage the overall safety, quality, and productivity of the project.

Requirements:

  • Previous work experience in Project Management in the Industrial Construction Industry
  • Certifications such as PMP, CCM, or equivalent is an asset. 
  • OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR Training.
  • Extensive previous work experience in managing construction project budgets. 
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials and equipment.
  • Highly organized and demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with construction safety and quality standards. 
  • Understanding of construction management processes.
  • Ability to collaborate and plan effectively. 
  • Experience with construction and project management software (i.e. Procore). 
  • Budgeting, scheduling, negotiation, and cost control abilities.
  • Strong familiarity with contract and subcontract documents. 
  • Conflict resolution and management experience. 
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
