Job Title: Project Engineer - Water Treatment Plant (Mechanical Scope)


Location: White, Georgia


Job Overview:

They are looking for a skilled and motivated Project/Field Engineer to join their team for a water treatment plant project in White, Georgia. This role focuses on the mechanical aspects of the project, ensuring that all mechanical systems and components are designed, installed, and maintained to the highest standards.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Management:

  • Develop detailed project plans and schedules for the mechanical scope of the water treatment plant.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to ensure timely completion.


Design and Engineering:

  • Review and approve mechanical design documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Conduct engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions.


Procurement and Vendor Management:

  • Prepare and manage procurement documents, including requests for proposals (RFPs) and contracts.
  • Oversee the delivery and installation of mechanical equipment, ensuring quality and compliance with project specifications.


Construction Oversight:

  • Provide technical support during the construction phase, including resolving design and installation issues.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure mechanical work is progressing according to plans and specifications.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.


Quality Assurance and Testing:

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures for mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate and oversee testing and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
  • Ensure all mechanical systems are fully operational and meet performance criteria.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate project records, including design documents, procurement records, and construction logs.
  • Prepare regular progress reports for project stakeholders.
  • Ensure all project documentation is complete and properly archived.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Civil Engineering/Construction Management, or a related field
  • 1-5 years of experience in Construction/Engineering.
  • Some knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, piping, valves, and HVAC ideal.
  • Proficient in engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
