Quality Control Technician - Hendersonville - 1st Shift - Up to $22.00/hr.

PrideStaff is currently looking for an experience Quality Control Technician for a machining company located in Hendersonville. 

Job Summary:  Responsible for verifying quality specifications of machined parts as indicated by the customer. Work closely with the production team, Quality Manager, Operation Manager, and Shift Supervisor to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction with regards to the quality and timeliness of products and services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor. 
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work. 
  • Document’s inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database. 
  • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs. 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
  • Minimum of three years quality inspection experience
  • Prior fabrication/metal working background and blueprint reading highly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of quality and safety requirements and processes in painting/manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to read blueprints
  • Demonstrated ability to use measuring devices such as calipers, mics, depth gages and torque driver
  • Must be capable of multitasking and keeping production on schedule
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics
  • MS Word/Excel experience a plus

Hours of Work:  7:00 am to 3:30 pm
