Responsibilities and Qualifications:

• Execute mold and die changeovers with guidance from a Process Technician. A thorough understanding of molds and dies and the potential damage from improper handling is essential.
• Manage machine process startups, controls, and adjustments under the supervision of a Process Technician.
• Perform part assembly, packing, or housekeeping when regular duties are not required.
• After training, independently perform changeovers and startups. At this stage, the Mold Technician may also be responsible for training others in the same role as needed.
• Collaborate with the Process Technician to conduct preventive maintenance on injection machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Ensure quality standards are met. Learn to utilize gauges and other measuring devices to maintain equipment in line with acceptable quality standards.
• Accurately document production records, safety, and cleanliness in the work area.
• Ability to read and comprehend basic prints/drawings related to finished products.
• Provide necessary hand tools for the job. A tool allowance is available.
