Senior Technical Agile Project Manager

Position Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to take on the dual role of Senior Technical Agile Project Manager. This position requires a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, project management, and business analysis to lead and manage complex, high-impact projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing project scope, schedule, and cost, as well as eliciting and documenting business requirements, providing technical leadership, and driving projects from inception to completion. This role demands excellent customer-facing, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, organization, control, and staffing of technical, administrative, financial, contractual, and personnel actions required to execute projects.
- Develop and maintain detailed project management plans, including strategies for Agile execution, program increments (PIs), release schedules, milestones, and dependency management.
- Manage the scope, schedule, and cost of projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Lead the execution of Agile projects, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure all deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and budget, according to the project plan.
- Provide innovative solutions to project-related problems, including schedule, cost, and technology/tool analysis.
- Utilize tools such as JIRA or other MS 365 compatible task management applications to manage requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and defect tracking.
- Identify, analyze, and manage risks associated with the project, developing and implementing mitigation plans.
- Provide weekly and monthly status reports detailing project progress, risks, issues, mitigation plans, and other relevant information.
- Conduct kickoff meetings, weekly status meetings, and other stakeholder engagement activities to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals and progress.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including master project plans, schedules, roadmaps, meeting minutes, and status reports.
- Ensure all project documents are stored in the designated SharePoint environment and updated regularly.
- Lead discussions with stakeholders to gather and elicit business requirements.
- Document and analyze requirements to ensure they align with business needs and objectives.
- Create detailed requirement specifications and use cases, ensuring they are understood and met by the development team.
- Assess the operational and functional baseline of the organization to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead the development team in designing and implementing automation solutions that meet client business needs, utilizing low-code platforms for content management and retrieval solutions.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and the development team to ensure alignment on project goals and progress.
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to keep it on track, applying Agile practices and principles to manage and deliver projects efficiently.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in Agile project management and 3 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or in a similar role with a focus on requirements elicitation and documentation.
· PMP Certification (Required)
· Scrum Certification (Required)
· PRINCE2 Certification (Optional, but highly regarded)
· Proven experience in leading technical teams and delivering automation solutions using low-code platforms.
· Demonstrated experience in managing project scope, schedule, and cost; risk management; and resource management for multiple teams.
· Proven ability to analyze complex project-related problems and provide innovative solutions that maximize value.
· Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience leading Agile projects.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Proficient in using project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, and SharePoint.
Compensation and Benefits
The projected compensation range for this position is $134,000 to $167,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
