Position Title: Agile Project Leader with Quality Assurance Expertise

Contract Type: Long-term Engagement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and coordinate all Agile ceremonies including PI planning, Sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews/retrospectives, backlog refinement, and Inspect and Adapt sessions.
  • Coach and mentor the Agile Team on the application of Agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services.
  • Enhance team performance by identifying strengths and areas for improvement, employing suitable coaching and development strategies.
  • Ensure a comprehensive understanding of Agile principles and adherence to Agile practices within the team.
  • Guide the team towards self-organization, fostering cross-functional skills and effective communication both internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with the Agile Team and stakeholders to influence decision-making and support project or product initiatives.
  • Identify and manage internal and external dependencies essential for achieving program increment goals.
  • Assist the Product Owner in backlog management and support the team in maintaining a healthy dynamic regarding priorities and scope.
  • Resolve team impediments in collaboration with other Agile Leaders to enhance the application of Agile methodologies across the organization.
  • Contribute to the advancement and refinement of Agile practices within the organization.
  • Support the team in establishing normalized estimation practices and assist in estimating larger features.
  • Integrate Quality Assurance processes such as test planning, automation, and performance testing into the product development lifecycle.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and validation of code alongside QA teams to uphold high-quality standards.
  • Develop quality metrics to monitor product improvements.
  • Assist in the design, development, and coding of software solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams to define release and regression testing strategies.
  • Utilize critical thinking to design and execute test cases based on documented requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Create, debug, execute, and analyze automated scripts while addressing any issues that arise.
  • Identify, investigate, and prioritize software defects.
  • Write basic SQL queries to verify data integrity in support of testing activities.
  • Maintain effective communication with product managers and team members.
  • Share acquired knowledge and skills with team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Scrum Master certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master with direct involvement in quality assurance functions.
  • Strong understanding of Scrum techniques and artifacts, along with the integration of QA processes in Agile settings.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Acceptance Test Driven Development.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to automation frameworks and applications, performing automation tasks with minimal guidance.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration tools focused on software development and build life cycles.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring teams in dynamic environments.
  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile methodology and best practices.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools for project management is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of test automation using Selenium, Java, TestNG, Cucumber, and Gherkin.
