JOB TITLE: Entry Level Business Intelligence Developer

JOB TYPE: Long-term contract

JOB LOCATION: Onsite in Livonia, MI

PAY RANGE: $32-34/hr (non-negotiable)

SKILL SPECIALITY: PowerBI and Bachelor's Degree, US Citizen due to working on US Department of Defense programs

JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Intelligence Developer I will transform sales and operations data into relevant insights through interactive dashboards and reports. The role will be responsible for creating queries to extract the data from the ERP system, developing and maintaining BI dashboards, as well as working with the Business Intelligence Manager to understand business needs and metrics. Through data visualization, the dashboards will convey key business metrics to use in decision-making and enhance overall business performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing visualizations and reports for key business metrics.
  • Work closely with Business Intelligence Manager, Business Analyst, and other cros functional team members to understand business needs and requirements.
  • Create queries to extract the relevant data from the ERP system to use in the BI dashboards.
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain any automatic processes or features required for continued updating or archiving of visualizations and reports.Business Intelligence Manager or appropriate cross function team member.:
  • Escalate and resolve any issues or discrepancies found in the data collection process to the
  • Participate in metrics related meetings.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or similarly related field
  • or certification in business intelligence or business analytics.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Business Intelligence, data analytics or related field.
  • US Citizenship is required due to this position partially supporting programs for the US Department of Defense

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills – Word, Excel (advanced formulas, pivots, if/then), Outlook.
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Power BI or other business intelligence software.
  • Ability to analyze detailed data sets and turn it into actionable information for the business and
  • functional leadership. Includes the ability to determine appropriate charts/graphs/tables anddisplay data accordingly.
  • Adaptability to make frequent changes in metrics and visualizations based on business’s needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and on team-based projects.
  • Ability to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.with internal and external stakeholders.
