Position Overview:


As the Sales Manager for Electrical Distributor Sales, and contractor relations, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive sales growth through our network of electrical distributors. You will, cultivate strong relationships with distributors and electrical contractors, and identify opportunities to expand our product offerings and market share. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and developing strong relationships with electrical distributors.




Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and increase market share within the electrical distributor channel.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key electrical distributors (CES, CED, Wesco, Rexel, etc.), understanding their needs and providing solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Manage outside sales agencies, and also bring on new agencies in new regions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, product management, operations and customer service, to support sales initiatives and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for future growth.
Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, within the electrical industry or related field.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, with a strong understanding of distributor sales channels.
  • Must have experience selling to Electrical Distributors such as CES, CED, Wesco, Anixter, Rexel, and Sonepar. Experience selling utility grade products to these distributors a plus but not required.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills. Must have the ability to collaborate with customer service, operations, engineering, and product management.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market data and develop actionable plans to drive growth.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
