Job Overview

SUMMARY

Under the guidance of Brand Managers and Field Managers, the Sales Route Representative ensures that The ICEE Company is consistently represented in a professional and courteous manner. Customer satisfaction and service excellence are paramount at ICEE, reflecting our commitment to success for both our customers and partners. Sales Route Representatives are expected to cultivate strong relationships with store personnel and demonstrate motivation towards in-store merchandising and point-of-sale (POS) initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload the vehicle to ensure that inventory is prepared for daily deliveries.
  • Complete scheduled deliveries and ensure timely distribution of products and promotional materials.
  • Engage with store personnel regarding new products and promotional items.
  • Provide training on ICEE equipment operation to store personnel unfamiliar with the machines.
  • Maintain cleanliness of machines, restock supplies, and update promotional materials.
  • Obtain necessary stamps on invoices from stores.
  • Document daily activities, including inventory delivered, mileage, and time records.
  • Handle cash-on-delivery (COD) transactions when applicable, ensuring proper payment processing.
  • Conduct weekly vehicle inspections.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, the Sales Route Representative must be self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. The following qualifications are essential:

  • Enthusiasm and motivation for in-store merchandising and POS.
  • Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Self-starter with the capacity to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, along with basic mathematical proficiency.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age due to DOT regulations.
  • A minimum of two years of customer service and/or route driving experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting of over 70 lbs.
  • Willingness to drive more than 40% of the time.
  • Steel-toed shoes are required (uniforms provided).
