Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Registration: Greet patients, verify demographic, clinical, financial, and insurance information, and enter data into registration systems.
- Order Processing: Obtain and process signed physician orders.
- Insurance Verification: Conduct insurance eligibility and benefit verification, calculate patient liabilities, and collect payments.
- Financial Counseling: Refer cases to financial counseling when necessary.
- Compliance: Adhere to regulations and confidentiality standards, including EMTALA and Consent Laws.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records and manage data in various computer systems (e.g., patient registration, document imaging, payment posting).
