This is a temp to potentially hire position, based on needs of the client moving forward.

 

Our client offers an array of services, sales, and installation of equipment in the industrial space both in the US and Canada.

 

Start: ASAP
Shift: M-F, 7/8AM - 4/6PM
Pay: $36.63/hr

 

The Accounts Payable (AP) Supervisor will assume responsibility for the comprehensive management of the accounts payable function, including invoice processing, account reconciliation, and vendor management. Operating with a significant degree of autonomy and leadership, you will serve as a seasoned expert, offering guidance and mentorship to AP specialists to ensure alignment with accounting standards and company policies. Your primary workflows will be to drive continuous improvement within the department, proactively identifying opportunities to streamline processes, optimize workflows, and bolster overall efficiency. Through close collaboration with management, you will play a pivotal role in implementing strategic initiatives aimed at fortifying the financial health and integrity of the organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise accounts payable team, assigning tasks and providing guidance, and monitoring aged payables.
  • Conduct complex account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining proper documentation.
  • Mentor and train AP staff, providing guidance on best practices and accounting principles.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Resolve vendor issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and prepare reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and internal controls.
  • Lead month-end close activities, including accruals, AP related financial reporting, and GRN (Goods Received Note) variance account monitoring and gap communication.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned, including acquisition integration.

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required; Associates degree or higher preferred
  • 5+ years of AP experience, with at least 3 as an AP supervisor
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics
