We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Inside Sales Representative to support our Outside Sales team and help manage house accounts. This role is designed for a professional looking to develop in the Audio Video (AV) industry, with opportunities for growth into a Technical Consultant or Sales Engineer position. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be well-organized, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow in both sales and technical capacities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Outside Sales Representatives and House Accounts:
- Quote Creation: Assist in building accurate and competitive quotes for potential clients.
- Reviewing Quotes: Ensure quotes are properly reviewed and align with client needs and company pricing guidelines.
- Following Up on Quotes: Track and follow up on outstanding quotes to maximize conversion rates.
- Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients regarding their needs, project updates, and quotes.
- Product Deal Registrations: Facilitate the registration of product deals to secure competitive pricing.
- Trade Show Attendance and Coordination: Assist in show planning and operation.
- Marketing Assistance: Assist in marketing efforts by helping create marketing material.
- Business Development: Assist outside sales people in calling potential clients and leads and setting up meetings.
Learning and Growth:
The Inside Sales Representative will have the opportunity to learn and grow in the following areas:
- Client Communication: Develop effective client communication strategies and skills.
- System Line Drawings: Gain the ability to review and understand system line drawings.
- Vendor Communication: Learn to liaise with vendors for product information, pricing, and availability.
- Quote Building: Master the process of building detailed and accurate sales quotes.
- System Design: Learn the basics of designing Audio Video systems to meet client requirements.
- Professional Certification: Inside Sales Representatives will be encouraged to study for and achieve their CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) degree.
Growth opportunities from this role include advancement to a Technical Consultant or the start of the process to become a Sales Engineer.
Qualifications & Useful Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree desired, along with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented, with solid computer skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with Audio Video systems is a plus.
- Basic understanding of IP networking.
- Ability to articulate the value proposition of an Audio Video system to clients.
