Duties & Responsibilities

Payroll
  • Multi state payroll processes
  • Understands payroll and payroll taxes
  • Payroll benefit set up and 360 file feeds
  • Maintains strong payroll and finance communication loop while maintaining confidentiality

Training & Development
  • Conduct new hire orientation and help organize employee recognition programs
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments

Employment Relations
  • Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the HR department and organization as a whole, and to improve employee experience
  • Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices

Recruiting
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Track and report metrics around all aspects of onboarding
  • Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations


Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, equivalent experience will be considered
  • At least 2+ years of human resource generalist experience



Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of HR procedures and policies as well as employment laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiar with Paylocity HRIS system strongly preferred
  • Can do approach and ability to work in a team environment with high volume of tasks
